STORY OF GRACE - TAWANDA
It has been an amazing year full of challenges and growth. The Learnership has helped me a lot when it comes to body language and professionalism in the work place. Working with people had never been my strength, but it is one of the key values of the Learnership. Now I prefer working with people! One of the benefits the Learnership is that you get to be in a Discipleship Group, and people who once were strangers are now my friends/family/brothers in Christ. Being one of the people chosen to be part the Learnership 2016 is something that, when I look back on it, makes me consider myself privileged.
STORY OF GRACE - THANDEKA
I joined the Learnership in January 2014, and the experience was life changing. Being surrounded by God fearing people in the work place was amazing because one thing I always want in my life is growth for my spiritual life. The Learnership coordinator at the time was Ellie Hunja, who was also my Discipleship Group leader. I have learned so much from her. I then got an opportunity to work in the corporate world in 2015. The environment was good but it was not what God called me to, and I left in December 2015. I have a certificate in Social Auxiliary Work and it is just difficult to find employment. In Jan 2016, I called Neal one Friday morning because I was unemployed. I was still with Church@44 and I knew that the Learnership program was still continuing. He simply said I should start the next Monday. This to me was my 2016 highlight and what the Gospel teaches about community; just having a spiritual family that I can rely on.
STORY OF GRACE - RETHABILE
The Learnership has been an opportunity of a life time that I am glad to have. It has played a pivotal role in my spiritual growth, and my relationship with God and others has improved. I have learned to relate to different personalities just like Joshua in the Bible, only that for me it was in a working environment.
It has taught me discipline; to prioritize my school work, manage my time well, and know that time keeping is important in life.
HOW DID WE
ACCOMPLISH THIS?
To make a positive impact in people's lives, we needed to set out clear goals and objectives.
